Gemotions

The sun's golden rays illuminated the kitchen, where Mrs. Evans had just finished preparing a batch of her famous apple pies. The delicious aroma permeated the air, a comforting scent that filled her with satisfaction. She'd just finished wiping down the counter, a task she found immensely rewarding. She hummed a little tune, enjoying the feeling of a job well done.

A knock at the back door. There, standing on the stoop, was a young man she faintly recognized. He looked almost sheepish, and he held out a beautifully decorated tin.

"Mrs. Evans, you always made us feel so… good. This is for you." He grinned nervously, but his eyes held something that made her feel warm inside.
